Grand Rapids Ophthalmology welcomes you to our practice! For patients under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the initial visit. A waiver may be signed for future visits. Most appointments will take approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Cataract, LASIK, and retinal evaluations may take up to 3 hours. Your eyes will be dilated for complete exams, laser vision, and retinal evaluations. Dilation will make you sensitive to light and makes it difficult to see up close. You can bring your own sunglasses, or we will provide you with a temporary pair.
